The Indoctrination
        Essay 2

They taught me before I could ask.
Named me before I could speak.
                  Their truths became my thoughts,
                  Not through wisdom—
                  But repetition.
                  I wasn’t born believing.
                  I was programmed.
And now I’m peeling back the code
                  To find what was mine
                  Before the script.
